Hello I’m Clare, the founder and formulator behind the brand.

My love of skincare began long before Camellia was created. As a child, I suffered from severe eczema, giving me a personal understanding of how challenging sensitive skin can be. That experience sparked a lifelong interest in skincare and a desire to find products that not only cared for the skin but felt comforting and enjoyable to use.

I’ve always believed that skincare should be both effective and a pleasure to use—a small moment of self-care in a busy day.

From the NHS to Camellia

Before founding Camellia, I spent over 20 years working within the NHS, including supporting dermatology services. Although I wasn’t a clinician, my work gave me valuable insight into skin health, patient care and the importance of quality, safety and evidence-based practice.

Throughout my career, I developed a deep appreciation for how skin conditions can affect confidence and wellbeing. That understanding continues to influence everything I create today.

In 2022, I decided to follow a dream I had held for many years and dedicate myself to building Camellia—a brand that combines thoughtful formulations with beautiful botanical ingredients.

Every Camellia product begins with careful research and ingredient selection.

I spend many hours studying cosmetic ingredients, exploring how botanical oils, plant extracts and skin-loving actives work together to create products that are both gentle and effective. Every formulation undergoes a cosmetic safety assessment before being offered for sale and is continually refined through careful evaluation and customer feedback.

I believe skincare should feel luxurious without being complicated, and every product is designed with that philosophy in mind.

My Philosophy

Camellia was created with a simple aim:

I produce my products in small batches using carefully selected ingredients and minimal, thoughtfully chosen packaging wherever possible. Small batch production allows me to maintain consistency and freshness while giving every product the attention it deserves.

My style is inspired by nature—calm botanical colours, elegant simplicity and timeless quality. I hope every order feels like a little moment of luxury arriving through your letterbox.
